About
I provide evidenced-based therapy for adults, adolescents, and couples at all stages of relationship.
Many people I work with are high-functioning in some areas of their lives yet feel stuck, entrenched, or waylaid by painful or confusing habits, emotions, and interpersonal patterns. Some come with new mental health challenges; others bring longstanding diagnoses.
While my foundation is psychodynamic, I believe there is no single “best” psychotherapeutic approach and I work differently with different clients. At the same time, I believe that every good treatment requires honesty, curiosity, and patience.
I completed advanced clinical training in psychodynamic practice at the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, and additional specialized training at the Couples Institute and the National Institute for the Psychotherapies. I hold an MA from the Wright Institute and a BA from Yale University.
Psychotherapy is a vast and always-evolving field, and I am continually involved in ongoing specialized training and consultation.
